Mama Earth is one such brand that has been gaining a lot of popularity recently. A lot of bloggers and Youtubers have been promoting and recommending their products so I also jumped onto the bandwagon and ordered a lot of stuff from their website. These days I am obsessed with skin care, I have currently stopped buying makeup products and I am all into skin care in 2020. Face serums are my thing, I just love smearing them on my skin and see my skin glow after that. Oil based serums are best suited for my dry skin but this time I decided to try out the Mama Earth  Skin Correct Face Serum with Niacinamide and Ginger Extract. One of my favourite youtubers had been using this serum and she had some great reviews about it so I also ordered it as I had the similar skin issues as she did. I have been using this serum for the past one month so I thought this is the right time to review it for you guys.

My Experience with the Mama Earth  Skin Correct Face Serum:

The Mama Earth Skin Correct Face Serum comes in the classic white and green cardboard packaging with all the details about the product mentioned on the packaging itself. The serum comes in a heavy white glass dropper bottle. I love when my serum comes in a dropper bottle because this way you have control over how much product you want to dispense in one go. The serum has a slightly thicker consistency but it is not at all greasy. It has a slightly slimy texture which gets absorbed into the skin within a minute of application. It is not at all greasy or oily and it sinks into the skin like a dream, so it is absolutely suitable for all skin types. The serum has a very mild fragrance which does not bother my over sensitive nose.

I have been using this serum for the past one month in both my AM and in my PM routine. I take around 5-6 drops of the serum and apply it all over my properly cleansed face and neck. It gets absorbed into the skin within a few seconds leaving the skin soft and plump. In the AM routine I follow it up with a sunscreen but at night I just apply this serum on my bare skin and let it sink into my skin to release its goodness.

So my major skin concerns when I started using this serum were uneven skin tone, patchy skin, a few dark/sun spots on my cheeks, pores around my nose and dull and dehydrated skin, basically my skin was missing the glow. I have been using this serum religiously for the past one month and I am pretty disappointed with it. This serum actually didn’t do anything for my skin whatsoever. Neither did it help me with my uneven skin tone, nor did it lighten my dark spots, nor did it help in minimizing the pores, basically it did nothing for my skin. It claims to even out the skin tone, reduce open pores, even out patchy skin and reduce skin blemishes but this product failed on all aspects.

Six months back I had used Mama Earth Day and Night Cream which also proved to be a bummer for me, they didn’t work on my skin at all but after seeing so many youtubers and bloggers rave this brand and products I decided to give them one more try. I ordered quite a lot of stuff from them, a few of them were okayish but most of them have proved to be a miss for me, like this serum.

The Mama Earth  Skin Correct Face Serum has powerful ingredients like Niacinamide and ginger extract but this serum has failed miserably on me. I had high expectations when I started using this serum but this was such a dud for me. Your skin reacts a bit when you start using a new skin care product, it gives you a little glow, it illuminates your skin, plumps up your skin a bit but this product didn’t do anything for my skin. It just works as a normal hydrating serum for my dry skin, nothing more than that.

I do not oily and acne prone skin so I cannot comment whether it will work for oily skin or will it help with reduction in acne/pimples or will it lighten acne/pimple marks, as far as my skin issues it didn’t work on them. I have seen Youtubers rave about this serum and now I am  pretty confused as to why this is not working on my skin or it is just the paid promotions that makes Youtubers and bloggers praise these products so much. So now it is upto you to decide. For me the Mama Earth  Skin Correct Face Serum has been a big bummer, I seriously would not recommend this product to anyone.

I would not recommend this serum to anyone.

Will I repurchase the Mama Earth  Skin Correct Face Serum?

Certainly not. There are many more Indie brands these days coming up with fab face serums, so I would definitely give them a shot. I will let this one pass.
