My Experience with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum:
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum comes in the classic aqua blue cardboard packaging with all the details about the product mentioned on the box itself. The serum comes in a translucent aqua blue plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The serum is clear in colour and it has these round Vitamin E Capsules in it which are activated when you pump out the serum.
I am a dry skin type and I am always on a look out for products that hydrate and moisturize my sahara desert skin and are also light on the skin. I don’t like using very heavy and greasy products as they tend to make my skin look very dull and it also weighs down my skin, if you understand what I mean. I am all into gel based products these days and I can see that they are working like a magic for my skin. I ordered the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum a few months back. I finished using the gel last month and I am in love with that product, it just makes my skin so plump and hydrated. I finished up the entire jar and it is so good that I will definitely reorder it. After finishing the gel I started using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum and my skin is loving it. I never use two new skin care products at the same time so that I can actually see the results of that particular product on my skin.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum has a very lightweight clear gel like texture with freshly activated white pearly particles from the capsules. The serum has a very subtle aqua tropical smell to it which is so mild and pleasing for me. I have an extra sensitive nose and strong fragrance products give me a headache but this serum has a very soothing smell to it, nothing over powering or strong. The serum sinks into the skin within a few seconds of application, it feels a bit tacky on the skin after application but that tackiness also subsides about a few minutes later giving the skin a very plump effect.
The three main ingredients of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum are Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E and Glycerine. Both Hyaluronic acid and Glycerine are hygroscopic compounds and they act as humectants. They attract moisture from the environment and retain it in on the skin thereby leading to hydrated skin. Vitamin E which comes in the form of capsules in the serum acts as an antioxidant. Since the formulation contains the ingredients in a capsulated form it is well preserved till the time you pump out the serum, when it breaks it down and turns into pearl like particles making it easier to be absorbed into the skin.

I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum both in my AM and PM routine. I usually take 2-3 pumps of this and apply it on my damp skin. It gets absorbed into the skin within seconds of application and gives the skin a lot of hydration. My skin feels so plump and soft post application. It definitely acts as a glow booster. I can literally see my skin glow from within after the application of this serum. It also acts as a great makeup primer because of its tackiness, it helps the foundation to settle on the skin very beautifully giving a very smooth and flawless base. My skin feels extremely hydrated like I have drank 3-4 litres of water and I have had a good 8 hours of sleep. It helps in evening out the complexion and also fades off sun spots and dark spots on the face to some extent.
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum is definitely a must try product for all skin types. I loved using it during the monsoon months due to its lightweight texture. It provides a lot of hydration, does not feel heavy on the skin, helps in skin brightening and gives the skin a very glowy after effect. Do try out this amazing serum, I am sure you are going to love it.

Hello Yamini, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on Neutrogena’s hydro boost serum. I have been looking at hydrating cream at drugstore and I am trying to decide between Neutrogena vs CeraVe vs Cetaphil. Have you used these 2 other brands? https://sowourplanet.com/cerave_cetaphil/ They are around the same price range. Your sharing is much appreciated!
