Products required:
  • A big piece of fresh Ginger root.
  • Mixing bowl.
  • Application brush.
Procedure:

There are two ways in which you can use the Ginger root:

  • For Bald Patches:

Firstly, I’m going to tell you how to use Ginger root if you want to treat bald patches. So if you suffer from bald patches on your scalp,  just take a piece of ginger root, peel off the skin and wash it off properly so that no dirt is left on it. Now prick the ginger root with the help of a fork and rub it on your bald patches. You do not need to rub the ginger root on the entire scalp if you are concentrating on the bald patches, you just need to concentrate where you have been losing hair means on the bald patch.

Keep pricking the ginger root with a fork so that fresh juice is coming out of it and keep rubbing that on the bald patch for 3-4 minutes. After 4 minutes gently massage the ginger juice into your scalp for 2 minutes and leave it on your scalp for a good 2 hours and then wash off with a mild shampoo. This is how you have to use Ginger root if you want to treat bald patches.

  • If you want to use Ginger for hair loss, hair thinning:

Take around 150 grams of Ginger, wash it off properly, peel off the skin and chop it into small pieces. Now blend the ginger into a smooth paste by adding around 4 to 5 tablespoons of water. Take out the ginger mixture into a mixing bowl. You can also use a cheesecloth to squeeze out the juice from the ginger pulp because you only need the juice for application on your scalp but I like to apply the whole pulpy mixture on my scalp because I find it a bit more effective that way but you can do as you like because it also gets a bit messy if you apply the pulp.

How to Apply Ginger Juice on your Scalp:

  • After extracting the juice from the pulp, de-tangle your hair and divide it into sections.
  • Now dip the brush into the Ginger juice and apply all over your scalp making sure to cover the scalp properly with the Ginger juice.
  • The Ginger juice is going to give you tingling feeling on your scalp which is very normal after applying Ginger juice. The tingling sensation acts as a positive reinforcement that it really is working.
  • Leave it on your scalp for 2 hours or if you can leave it overnight it’s going to be very effective.
  • Wash off with any mild, sulfate and paraben free shampoo.

Can I use this remedy simultaneously ?
Since I am applying minoxidil on my bald patch was just curious whether it will have any side effects if apply both ginger and minoxidil.

    • I don’t think there should be any problem if you apply it simultaneously with minoxidil.
