How to use the Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack With Argan Oil:

Apply the pack to the face and neck avoiding contact with eyes. Leave it for 5-10 minutes for it to dry. Rinse with warm water and feel the difference.

My Experience with the Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack With Argan Oil:

Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack With Argan Oil comes in a white and cardboard box packaging with all the details about the product on the box. The mask comes in a very heavy and sturdy glass jar with a screw lid. All the details about the product are also mentioned on the jar. There is another white lid inside the jar once you unscrew the outer lid. The pack is light grey in colour and it smells heavenly. I have a pretty sensitive nose and there are very few products that actually blow me away with their fragrances and Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack is one such product. I have migraine issues and there are some very good products that I can’t use because of their overpowering smell but the smell of all the three Jeva products that I have used by far are so soothing, calming and relaxing. They just feel like tropical holiday in a jar.So as far as the fragrance is concerned this product gets a 5/5 from me.

The main ingredient of this face pack is activated charcoal which is quiet a rage in the skin care industry these days. Activated charcoal is burnt wood that is treated with gases or steam to improve its absorbency to make it more porous. I have been fully into activated charcoal diy’s these days, I use it to make face masks, hair detox masks and natural toothpowder. Activated charcoal is a wonder ingredient. Everyday pollution, skin oils, dirt and grime gets trapped in our skin often leaving it dull and lifeless. But activated charcoal can stick and bind to excess oils and impurities and suck them out of the skin thus cleansing and refreshing it.

The Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack has kaolin clay and china clay in it which is again very good for the skin. Any type of clay when applied to our skin sucks out the impurities and the excess oil from our skin so this mask is perfect to be used in the summer and in the rainy season.

The Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack has a very thick, creamy and smooth texture to it. I take out a dollop of the mask with a wooden spoon and apply it all over my face and neck with a face mask brush. It spreads evenly all over my face and gives a very soothing and calming effect. I like to keep all my clay and sheet masks in the refrigerator and apply them chilled on my face which helps to soothe any redness or irritation on the skin plus it also helps to reduce the size of the pores on the skin.

The mask dries out in 15-20 minutes after which I wash it off with tap water. It instantly brightens up the skin and cleans my skin perfectly. I can literally feel my skin breathe properly after using this face mask. It draws out all the impurities and excess oils from the skin without stripping the skin of its natural oils. The skin feels very soft, smooth and hydrated post usage because of the presence of argan oil in it. I have dry skin but I don’t feel that this mask makes my skin extra dry which I usually feel after applying any other clay face mask.

I sometimes like to add a few more ingredients and tweak this face mask a little bit to increase the effectiveness. I take out around 2 Tbsp of the face mask, add in 1 Tbsp of Jeva Aloe Vera Gel and 1 Tsp of  Apple Cider Vinegar to it, mix it well and apply all over my face and neck. Apple Cider Vinegar helps to maintain the ph level of the skin, tones the skin and due to the presence of alpha hydroxy acids it also helps in removing dead skin and reveals healthy and glowing skin.

The Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack is perfect for oily skin beauties as it sucks out the excess moisture from the skin, soothes any acne or pimples and deep cleans the pores. I love to slather this mask on my face and relax for 15 minutes almost every alternate day, I am truly addicted to clay masks these summers.
