Hello guys,I had reviewed the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque yesterday,you can go through the review HERE and today I will be reviewing the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo.Kerastase is a high end luxury brand which manufactures mainly hair care products.The products are highly priced but after using them and after seeing the effects of Kerastase products on your hair you won’t mind spending a bomb on them.So lets get started with the review.

This shampoo comes in a transparent sturdy golden coloured plastic bottle with a screw lid on top.The bottle has all the details about the product on it.

My take on the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo:

After the amazing results of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque I was super excited to try out the shampoo.To start with I have long, wavy,frizzy and flat(no bounce) hair and recently I have started facing this weird problem that my hair/scalp becomes really oily on the very next day after my hair wash.Acutally my hair is not oily but my scalp has started producing abnormal quantity of oil which eventually leads to oily hair.

The consistency of the shampoo is semi-liquid and is transparent in colour.The smell of the shampoo is so divine,it is awesome.The smell of the shampoo stays on my hair for all day long and I keep smelling them because they smell so good.

Now comes the real part,how this shampoo faired on me,I must say that I am a bit disappointed when it comes to this shampoo.Actually my hair has become very oily these days and I needed a shampoo that would remove all the oil that my scalp had been producing but to my despair this shampoo did not remove the oil from my hair at all.Even after the wash my hair was oily and limp and there was no shine or bounce in my hair,they were just flat,lifeless,dull and oily.

This shampoo is so mild on the hair that it did not even remove the oil my scalp was producing and on the top of that this shampoo is loaded with 4 different kinds of oils so I feel it made my hair even more oilier.

This shampoo claims that it is for all hair types but from my experience I would differ from their claim.If you are someone who likes to oil her hair before shampoo then I would say this shampoo is not for you because it does not remove any oil from your hair.I asked my Mum to use this shampoo to know the effects of this shampoo on dry hair and she was really happy and satisfied with with the results.Post wash her hair felt soft,smooth,shiny and nourished.

So I would suggest that anyone with oily hair and scalp should not use this shampoo because it does not remove the traces of oil from the hair.It does not even remove the oil that you have applied to your hair.I can say from my mum’s and my experience that this shampoo is not at all suitable for girls with oily hair because it weighs down the hair as it contains a lot of oils.This shampoo would be a boon for girls with dry,damaged or chemically treated hair because it has a lot of oils in it and it will be very nourishing for dry hair.Girls with oily hair can let this one pass.

1.Silicone and Paraben Free.

2.Heavenly scented shampoo.

3.Gives nourishment to the hair.

4.Smoothens out the hair.

 

Cons of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo:

1.Pricey.

2.Did not remove any oil traces from my hair so it does not live upto its claims of suiting all hair types.

Rating of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo:

I would give it a 3/5 for oily hair and for dry and damaged hair I would give it a 4.5/5.

Would I repurchase the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo?

Definitely not,I would buy some other Kerastase products as this shampoo did not suit me.
