Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum Review
Hello everyone,
Niacinamide is a skincare active that suits my dry and parched skin a lot, it removes all dry patches on my skin, fades off any dark patches, pigmentation marks on my skin and makes my skin feel so hydrated and plumped up. I have been using Niacinamide for the last 2 years and and it has made my skin so clear and bright. A few months back Koko Chemistry sent over their Niacinamide 10% serum and I loved it so much that I finished the entire bottle within a month. As I was busy with some family matter I could not review it at that time but the moment I decided to get back to blogging I knew I had to review it before any other product.
One thing that I would like to mention about the brand is that they sent me a mail a few months back and unlike other brands they did not pressurize me or did not ask me for any deliverables, they did not ask me to review it on my blog or share an instagram review, they just asked me to share my honest thoughts on the product after using it. Brands start sending you emails within a week after sending the product but Koko Chemistry team did not send me a single mail asking me to review it on social media. The brand is so confident about their products that they won’t ask you for reviews even after months of sending the product. I finished using the product in October and I am finally reviewing it in February because I liked the serum so much. Kudos to the Koko Chemistry team for such professional behaviour. I hope all other brands could learn something from them and be a little more professional.

My Experience with the Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum:
The Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum comes in an all grey and blue cardboard carton with all the details about the product mentioned on the box itself. The serum comes in a amber coloured 30ml glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump dispenser comes in very handy as it dispenses just the right amount of serum that is needed to cover your entire face and neck. The serum has a super hydrating milky consistency and has a very mild smell to it. I am someone who gets a headache with weird smelling skincare products but this has a very soothing mild fragrance to it which does not give you any headache or watery eyes.
I like to use the Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum in both my AM and PM routine. I wash my face with a AHA and BHA face wash, tone it with pure rose water and then I take 2 pumps of the serum and apply it all over my face and neck. I have been skipping my moisturizer because the Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum hydrates my dry skin, makes it look all plump and hydrated and I do not feel the need to apply a layer of moisturizer on top, its that hydrating. In my AM routine I apply a broad spectrum SPF on top and in my PM routine I do not apply anything of top of this serum.
After using the entire bottle of the Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum I could definitely see a differnce in my skin, it looked much more clear and bright. My uneven skin tone has evened out a bit, I can also see a considerable reduction in my sun spots and it has also faded a few freckles on my cheeks. The serum does help in hydrating the skin, it removes all dry patches on my skin. It has also helped in shrinking the size of open pores around my nose area. I could not see any reduction in fine lines and wrinkles but I guess you need to use it for a few more months to see the wrinkles and fine lines to fade off.
The Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum has niacinamide as one of its main ingredients. Niacinamide helps to build ceramide lipid barrier to retain moisture in the skin, regulates oil production, minimizes open pores and treats pigmentation. It also has lavender oil in it so it kills bacteria and heals acne and breakouts. It also unclogs the pores and reduces inflammation, so it is great for acne prone skin. Another main ingredient of this serum is Hyaluronic acid which is a humectant, basically it can hold 1000 times its weight in water. It provides hydration to the skin, repairs skin, repairs cell damage and enhances skin barrier function. It also has Vitamin B5, which helps to keep the skin soft, smooth and healthy. Another ingredient in this serum is Zinc PCA which is highly effective for treating pimples and breakouts. It reduces redness, regulates sebum production and also heals the skin.
I am a dry skin type and the Koko Chemistry Niacinamide 10% Facial Serum has worked beautifully on my skin, it has helped in brightening up my complexion, it also takes care of any inflammation or redness on the skin, it gives a very healthy glow to the skin.
