Swatch of the Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum:
My Experience with the Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum:
The Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum comes in a colorful orange and black cardboard box with all the details mentioned on the box itself. The serum comes in a 30 ml amber coloured glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The packaging is quiet similar to all the other serums available in the market, nothing fancy about the packaging as such.
The Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum has a runny gel like consistency, it is opaque in colour and has a very strong fragrance to it. The fragrance gives me a headache every time I apply it. I don’t understand that why do brands need to add such high artificial fragrances to their products, why can’t they add soothing fragrances to their products. I applied the serum in the morning and it gave me such a bad headache, so I had to wash it off and now I apply it just a few seconds before I am going to sleep. I wash my face at night, apply 2-3 drops of this serum all over my face, massage it in & go off to sleep as soon as possible because if I don’t sleep this serum gives me a migraine attack. So enough of the fragrance rant, now let’s come to the actual review of the serum.
The Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum is a very light weight serum which gets absorbed into the skin within seconds of application. It makes the skin feel hydrated and so plump. The Vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid present in the serum plumps up the skin and it feels like my skin has had glasses of water, it feels so smooth & supple post application. In the morning when you get up you will notice an instant glow on your skin like you’ve had your beauty sleep after ages. My skin feels so well hydrated, soft and supple all day. I wish I could apply this serum during the day time also.
My skin feels a lot more clear after one month of usage, my sun spots have faded a bit and overall my skin feels healthy. I see a natural glow on my skin which is a good indication because in summers my skin becomes very dull & lifeless but after using this serum my skin is glowing. This serum bottle will easily last you around 2 months if you use it twice a day. You need only 2 pumps of the serum to cover your entire face. It spreads evenly all over the face and gives a very cooling effect to the skin. The Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and the Glutathione present in the serum makes the perfect combination.
After 1 month of usage I can say that this serum has evened out my complexion a bit, has also faded away my sun spots and has improved my skin texture to some extent. This serum is a boon for your skin in summers. Hyaluronic Acid is one ingredient that you should definitely include in your skin care as it hydrates and nourishes the skin and makes it feel so soft and plump.
My final thought would be that Recast Vitamin C Facial Serum is a fairly good product and is perfect for summers. It will suit almost all skin types. My skin is absolutely loving it so far. If you are allergic to strong fragrances please stay away from this serum as it might give you a headache. All in all a decent product at an affordable price.
